Description

Gift for :iconaurelie-lucea: and her character Aurelie.

Twin Dragons
This ring symbolizes the arranged marriage of Princess Aurelie Lucea and Prince Vespillo Serrov, and the alliance of their two kingdoms. Secretly, however, Vespillo intended to dispose of Aurelie once his throne was secure.

Ever since Translucea broke away from her mother country Serrovia, seeking religious freedom, the two kingdoms have been at war. As the diamond breaks the line of rubies, five on either side, so their marriage will end five centuries of mutual war and bloodshed.

Likewise, the dragons represent the kingdoms and their protectors, the white dragon of Lucea and the black dragon of Tsukimono. Their stance is rampant, representing the pride and enmity they feel toward one another, but they are mirror images, implying that the two kingdoms are really the same.

Butterfly and Shooting Star
This ring was created by Venistar, a wandering conjurer, as a token of his love and commitment to Aurelie. He met her in the Enchanted Forest, where he rescued her from an attacking demon. They fell in love. Together they defeated Vespillo and thwarted his attempts to take over the kingdom.

Venistar and Aurelie come from different backgrounds, each with their own rich heritage. Their two symbols are intertwined, because they complement one another and stand strong together.

The shooting star represents Venistar and his people, the Roselites, who came from beyond the stars to follow their Goddess. Her healers saved Venistar's life during the Nefari Wars, and he wears Her star on his collar as a token of gratitude.

The butterfly is patterned after the seal of Translucea, a symbol of Aurelie and her family. Her advisor gave the seal to Venistar for safekeeping, and it came to life through Venistar's magic.
